This is a group for all parents with children with March 2011 birthdays.
I apologize to any of you constipated people out there, that must suck even more!
I have a July 2011 little girl and was wondering if any of you have dealt with a talking delay at around 20/21 months that got better around 2? My dd has about 50 words that we usually need to ask her to say. Somedays I feel like everything is fine, but others I feel there's a delay, especially seeing her around her friends who can almost speak in sentences. My concern is she'll say the words we ask her to (usually), but only communicates a handful of her own words without having to be asked. She knows what words mean what and will follow simple instruction (go get me your ball, put the wrapper in the garbage, go get me the phone, give your sister a hug, etc).
Did anyone else have anything similar at this age? We've decided to have her assessed by early intervention to be on the safe side but I'd love to hear if anyone else has gone through this.
Thanks so much!
